Our History

Founded in 1948 by Harry Middleton, Ecoglass started as a small, family-run business dedicated to quality and sustainability. Roger Middleton joined in 1964, aged 15, and by 1977, Ecoglass became a founding member of the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF). Gaby Mendham joined as a Director in 1997, later serving on the GGF board from 2019 to 2023. In 1998, Ecoglass moved into a custom-built facility, continuing its focus on innovation. In 2004, Ecoglass became the first independent UK company to achieve BS EN 1279-2 Accreditation. By 2024, sustainability efforts advanced with Ecologi and the Glass Forever programme from Saint-Gobain Glass. 
We remain at the forefront of innovation, investing in cutting-edge glass processing equipment, including fully automatic cutting tables and insulating glass unit lines with Viprotron quality scanners.
