In honour and celebration of Colin Sturdy

£2,000 target

On Saturday, May 10, nine members of our team and the wider Ecoglass family came together in full support for our dear colleague Colin Sturdy.

Colin joined Ecoglass in 1972, aged just sixteen, becoming a Company Director in 1994. As an integral asset to Ecoglass, his warmth, humour, and sincerity defined his relationships with colleagues and customers. He was always ready to listen, advise and help.

Colin ensured that customers were a priority, always going the extra mile. So, this weekend, we went the extra mile for him.

Three of them, to be exact, with plenty of muddy obstacles, soaked trainers, and more than a few bruises along the way!

It may have started as a means to raise funds for Cancer Research, but with his recent passing, Saturday became an opportunity to honour and celebrate the person Colin was. He’d have probably chuckled at the sight of us all scrambling through mud and tackling obstacles.

Our goal was to raise £2,000, and we’re well on our way thanks to the generosity of friends, family, and industry colleagues. Every donation, every word of encouragement, and every shared memory has meant the world.

Colin’s legacy lives on in the values he brought to work every day and the people who had the privilege to know him. Saturday was a small way for us to say thank you, for the laughs, the loyalty, and the lasting impact he had on Ecoglass.
