Glass Company of the Year places a marker of ambition for Ecoglass

With a 75-year family legacy, Norwich-based IGU manufacturer Ecoglass firmly placed itself in the spotlight at November’s G Awards. Shortlisted across three categories, the company was awarded Glass Company of the Year, a recognition that reflects both its heritage and its future direction.

Throughout 2025, Ecoglass focused on putting people at the heart of its communications. From personal success stories to demonstrating how the team consistently goes the extra mile, the business chose to lead with sustainability, social value and service, rather than products alone.

“Our people make us,” says Mark High, Company Director. “It was important to take the time to celebrate individual stories and shared wins, and to be open about the work we do to support our people, our customers and our local community. This award honours that legacy, but for me it’s also a marker of what’s to come.”

Mark joined Ecoglass in April 2024 and has since played a key role in refining the company’s strategic focus, strengthening its commercial foundations and supporting long-term growth.

“When I joined Ecoglass, I knew immediately that the company and its people were something special,” Mark continues. “This award is a testament to the dedication, talent and resilience shown every day across the business. Looking ahead to 2026, we have clear ambitions for our people, our products and our customers, from launching new solutions to investing in technical training and continuing to strengthen customer service.”

Alongside industry recognition, 2025 also saw Ecoglass strengthen its role within the local community. The company supported charitable and sustainability-led initiatives, including its ongoing commitment to Rippleacts, a Norwich-based social enterprise supporting individuals facing long-term unemployment. In October, members of the Ecoglass team took part in Rippleacts’ Employers’ Brunch, contributing to open discussions around confidence, employability and access to opportunity. Further support and guidance are planned for 2026.

Customer relationships have also been strengthened through enhanced account management and operational improvements led by Craig Hopper, Key Account Manager. These initiatives have improved service levels, reduced environmental impact and encouraged closer collaboration with local businesses.

Further investment in expertise came with the appointment of Ian Snow as Estimating and Technical Support Manager. In 2026, Ecoglass will introduce dedicated customer training programmes to help clients better understand technical specification and product performance, reinforcing its commitment to transparency, quality and partnership.

Looking ahead

As Ecoglass enters 2026, the Glass Company of the Year award stands as both recognition and responsibility. Built on decades of experience and driven by a people-first culture, the business remains focused on thoughtful growth, meaningful partnerships and continued investment in its team, customers and community.
