FIT Show – Collaboration, Expertise and Speaking Panels

Ecoglass has been around since 1947.  

So, it's fair to say that we've seen a few things, made A LOT of Insulated Glass Units (IGUs), and kept up to date with industry trends.  

And during the FIT show this year, Gaby represented that knowledge and insight in a lively speaking panel. Joining industry colleagues across the supply chain, topics included maintaining standards, fostering effective partnerships and the importance of implementing sustainable best practices.  

With the theme of collaboration and the future of the industry, Gaby shared her experiences from her time with the GGF, and the actions Ecoglass takes today, to support our customers with quality products and expertise. 

WHY DOES EXPERTISE MATTER?

Anyone who has been in the glass industry for longer than five minutes knows that for a clear product, glass certainly has a myriad of complexities.  

Different coatings, thicknesses, interlayers and applications – there are so many facets that need to be considered for glass in homes and domestic markets. Having an ally on your side who has the technical expertise and experience to guide that decision-making from ‘this the way we’ve always done it’ to ‘this is the way you should do it’ makes the world of difference.

But time shouldn’t be the enemy of accuracy. Getting the quote right also means nailing the technical aspects. Installing glass that doesn't meet building regulation standards or fails homeowners as their lovely new extension has ill-performing glazing, frankly, reflects badly on everyone in the supply chain.

Learning all about recent innovations, solutions and approaches to old and emerging complexities. We came away from the event simmering with ideas and strengthened connections.
