Craig Hopper

Meet Craig Hopper - Key Account Manager

Having been with Ecoglass for over 10 years, Craig has gained experience and insights across multiple departments and has recently been promoted to the position of Key Account Manager. In this interview, we learn a little more about Craig and his life in and outside of Ecoglass.

Q: What does the usual day look like for you?

A: Honestly, I know it’s clichéd, but truly, no two days are ever the same

As the Key Account Manager, it’s important to me that I support customers in their needs, making sure they get the ultimate customer service from Ecoglass. Making my customers job as simple and hassle-free as possible means that I can be doing site visits, providing technical support, or even getting involved with our production and operation teams to personally oversee an order.

I want to make sure that my customers are getting the best from Ecoglass, that sees me getting up to all sorts, and that’s why I say – no two days are ever the same!

Q: It sounds like the role involves a lot of personal investment in your customer projects.

A: Absolutely! I’m the first point of call for my customers, so if they need technical information on the glass, are looking to try something unique in a project, or maybe something isn’t quite going to plan, I'm the one who helps to answer all those questions. It certainly keeps things interesting from one day to another!

Q: Tell us a bit about yourself outside of work, do you enjoy any sports?

A: I used to be a very keen golfer when I was younger, due to various injuries I had to drop back from that, but I do wish I'd had the chance to pursue it as a career

Besides that, I support my local football team, Norwich City, and often go to matches with my son, Ellis, who will be spending some time with Mark High this summer getting some work experience under his belt

Q: This interviewer loves food. What would be your perfect food order?

A: I’m a simple man and I love a really good steak au poivre with garlic butter, crispy French fries and green beans. To be honest, I have fond memories of eating it with my dad when I was younger, so that dish truly is a classic for me.

Q: And if I were visiting Norwich, is there a particular restaurant you would recommend?

A: I live in Diss which is a little bit outside of Norwich but a good friend of mine runs the local pub called The Cock Inn, the food is always amazing and honestly, I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
